Tom Attwood was for many years Chief Executive of Intermediate Capital Group Plc (“ICG”), a public company among the top 250 FTSE listed companies.

ICG, founded in 1989, is an investment company managing money for its own balance sheet and for a number of institutional investors (pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and insurance companies) from around the world totalling $18 billion.

Headquartered in London, ICG has offices throughout Europe and Asia, where we are a leading investor and lender to private equity and buyout companies.  It invests principally in mezzanine debt and leverage loans and so provides capital to mid market companies.

Tom has represented ICG at the Board of a number companies including IPC Media, Gala Coral, Target Express, Wightlink and the AA.  He is now on the Board of Trustees of the Private Equity Foundation, on the Advisory Board of the Centre for Social Justice and on the Board of HgCapital.
