Meet the Trustees

Stephen has spent all his career in education. He has been a successful headteacher of a grammar school and two secondary modern schools. Having become convinced of the benefits of collaboration he established a small Multi Academy Trust that now consists of five secondary schools.

In between headships he worked as a Senior School Improvement Adviser in a shire county and was Head of School Improvement in a London borough. In both roles he was responsible for analysing examination results of all schools in the Local Authority and for writing improvement plans for the LA. He also had oversight of the Minority Ethnic Achievement teams, the music service and the schools’ HR team.

Stephen is a member of the Independent Monitoring Boards of two prisons and is trustee of a charity that sets out to promote the listening and performance of Baroque music.
