TKAT's Chichester High School pupils win £1,000 for local homeless charity in 'First Give' competition
Posted on: 20th Feb 2023On Friday 20th January 2023, TKAT’s Chichester High School welcomed representatives from four charities and external judges from the world of business and charity organisations.
Students took part in a public speaking workshop in preparation to ‘pitch’ to a panel of judges why their chosen charity should be awarded a £1,000 grant from First Give
It was The Chichester Four Streets Project that took home the £1,000 grant, but every single one of the charities represented has benefitted from the hard work of our Year 9s.
Congratulations to the winning team Ishan Dutta, Hector Lewis-Bayer, Ryan Nurse, Elizabeth Morris and Jake Ayling.
Christina Procter, Head of Social Science and RSHE Lead said:
“This has been such a great opportunity for our Year 9s to make a real difference in their local community and gain some real-life experience in terms of pitching ideas and working as a team.
A particular well done to all our presenters. Their presentations were professional, incredibly well delivered and hugely poignant. All who watched were genuinely blown away.
Thank you too, to our judges and charities who helped make this all possible and the wonderfully supportive First Give.”
