TKAT PUPILS AT GRAY'S FARM ACADEMY RECEIVE GENEROUS DONATION FROM BAYCROFT CARE HOME

Posted on: 5th May 2021

TKAT pupils at Gray’s Farm Primary Academy, Orpington suddenly have renewed excitement in coming to school – after a welcome donation from local neighbour Baycroft Care Home.

The care home, based nearby to the school in Grays Farm Road, have generously donated a ‘Nintendo Switch’ games console, which will be the top prize in the schools Summer Term Attendance Raffle  - an incentive to encourage the children to achieve at least 96% attendance for the Summer term.

Naturally, the pupils are delighted about the prize on offer and are making sure their attendance is recorded each day.

The raffle will be held on the last day of term in Summer 2021.

Josh Pearmain a Manager from Baycroft, visited the school on Wednesday 28th April to meet with Head Teacher Kate Groom, and to present the school with the prize. Josh said “We were thrilled at the opportunity to make a donation to such a good cause and to support our local community. Once we are out of the pandemic, we are looking forward to inviting the children to the home to meet some of our residents and to plan some activities with them”

Head Teacher Kate Groom said “It was very kind of Baycroft Care Home, our closest neighbour, to make this generous donation and we are sure that the winner of our Summer raffle will get a lot of enjoyment from this prize”.

Thank you to all at Baycroft Care Home!
