Making TKAT ACE Come Alive in Every Classroom.

Posted on: 11th Oct 2022

Over 20 TKAT ACE Leads met with Chris Runckels from the Durrington Research School and Laura Howling from the Kings North Research School for the first part of an Education Endowment Fund-sponsored project.  This is part of a prestigious national programme and reflects the wider interest that exists in the TKAT ACE Programme.

The aim of the programme is to build on the significant impact that TKAT ACE already has, by focusing on how the pastoral TKAT ACE Tutors can support disadvantaged pupils' academic progress.

The group explored how ACE Tutors can develop self-actualisation through goal setting and use meta cognitive processes to help pupils reflect on their learning.

There were useful insights into planning and monitoring processes, and how to ensure whole school buy-in.  The 'takeaway' message from the session included: 'Celebrate TKAT ACE in school to spread awareness'.

This is an excellent start for an important partnership for TKAT ACE.

Thank you to all involved.
