Hours of work 9.00am-3.45pm - 39 weeks per year

Tour of both sites: Tuesday 23 April 2019 10.00am at Crayford and 11.00am at Sidcup

Our school needs dynamic Teaching Assistants on a permanent and temporary basis. 

Are you dynamic and enthusiastic? We can offer you work as a Teaching Assistant on a permanent and temporary basis. Qualifications and experience essential.  Duties will include supporting the Teacher in the delivery of the curriculum and all aspects of the classroom work. It is a physical job (using slings and hoists).

Teaching Assistant daily duties involve manual handling and using Team-Teach strategies. You need to be conscientious, reliable, hard-working and be able to work on your own initiative as well as being able to support the team.  The pupils are amazing and will give you a sense of achievement when they make progress, however small.  Training will be given on many aspects.

Shenstone School is a primary special school (3-11) for pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties. We are based across two sites: Sidcup (Reception -Year 2) and Crayford (Year 2 – Year 6). The school is committed to pupil progress and celebrating the achievement of the individual child. Shenstone School was judged as a 'good' school by Ofsted November 2015.
