Job Summary

Learning and Growing Together at Northdown Primary Academy.

Do you have the skills and ambition to rise to a challenge?

Are you someone who has high expectations and a desire to improve the life chances of pupils in Thanet?

The seaside town of Margate, on the Southeast coast, must be one of the most up and coming areas in the country right now as more small independent shops and cafes have started moving in. Margate is an arty hipster heaven with fantastic links to London. You can be in town in 90 minutes.

Northdown Primary Academy is a two form primary school in Margate and is one of five Thanet primaries within The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT). We are currently seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Headteacher who will build on the school’s existing strengths, to lead, motivate, develop, and inspire a school team that is passionately committed to giving pupils a wide range of real-life and enriching experiences.

Our academies are pivotal in ensuring our children get the best start in life, no matter what their background. As part of the TKAT network, we are committed to making sure that every child has access to an excellent education and real choices in life.

Working for TKAT:

Leadership within TKAT schools requires passion, understanding, empathy and above all, a genuine love for the profession. Our role is to support you by giving you the flexibility to work how and when you need to; to open up opportunities to develop your career; to take care of your wellbeing at work; to enable you to flourish as an individual and to offer the kind of rewards you can only find from improving the prospects and life chances for literally thousands of children and young people.
