Happy International Women's Day!Posted on 8th March 2019
International Women’s Day is celebrated at TKAT schools across the Trust; we support women to get ahead, and stay ahead. Our high percentage of female Senior Leaders (up to 80% in some schools) demonstrate our commitment to empowering women to develop their professional careers.
As a recognised flexible employer, we offer a whole host of leadership programmes and training. TKAT offer careers that fit around family lives. We provide courses, inspiration and confidence to employees that need to get back into work, change direction, gain promotion or develop their existing career path. We openly and outwardly encourage women to go for promotion whilst on maternity leave, when pregnant, or working part-time. Those returning from maternity know that they will retain their career progression.
We run ‘Women Leading in Education’ Forums, (which are always fully booked!) and offer work shadowing, coaching and mentoring opportunities.
We also encourage our female pupils to have high career aspirations. We offer inspirational ‘Women in Science’ days for pupils who are interested in entering careers which are male dominated.
Similarly, our ‘World of Work’ days feature motivational female speakers in high powered positions, and successful ex-pupils to encourage our pupils to reach for the stars.
Hopefully, our efforts go some way to celebrate and empower women – all women, to fulfil their ambitions.
Happy International Women’s Day!
