TKAT academies come together for student conference at Thomas Bennett Community CollegePosted on 26th February 2020
TKAT's Thomas Bennett Community College were delighted to host a Grade 7-9 Conference on the 14th February. The conference was very popular, with nearly 200 students across the secondary academies attending.
The objective of the day was to create an environment for students where the whole focus was on exam revision, with a particular emphasis on the skills needed to achieve the highest grades.
The students were immersed in learning from start to finish, with the support of expert teachers from several academies. The teachers enthusiastically and confidently delivered sessions in English, maths, science, history, geography, French, Spanish, computer science and study skills.
Feedback from students highlighted the quality of teaching and they were grateful to work alongside students, of the same ability, from other academies.
Teachers from across academies found that the sessions developed their teaching, particularly around the area of questioning and they were very impressed with the high quality answers given by students.
Students left enthused and confident as they begin the final preparations for their GCSE exams.Well done to all involved!
