FANTASTIC DONATION FROM BBC CAMPAIGN HELPS 80 PUPILS AT TKAT'S BEWBUSH ACADEMY LEARN AT HOME

Posted on 28th January 2021

Children at TKAT’s Bewbush Academy, Crawley were delighted to be filmed today for a special donation from Computers 4 Kids, inspired by the BBC’s ‘Make A Difference – Give A Laptop’ campaign.

The Academy has been given eighty laptops to distribute to pupils without devices at home. The laptops were donated from local businesses and then cleaned, made safe and ready for use.

Headteacher Christine Dickens, who was interviewed on BBC Radio Sussex, said:

“We are so very grateful for this donation to Bewbush Academy; these devices will make such a difference and ensure that our children can keep up with their learning at home. To know the laptops are safe is paramount to us. Thank you!"

The pupils were interviewed as part of a news item for BBC South East which will air tonight (28 January) at 6.30pm.
