Over 40 primary headteachers and reading leads came together earlier this term for our reading conference at the Atkins Centre.

Reading is a key part of the Trust's primary strategy, and the aim is that children develop a lifelong love of reading and the skills needed to help them access a wider curriculum.

Director of Education Jenni Richards said: "It was an important and valuable day where colleagues came together from across our family of schools. The focus was to discuss and develop ways in which we can embed the greatest gift of reading - a lifelong essential skill for our primary children."
