General Information for bookings and cancellations of TKAT Professional Development workshops.

Booking a place

Please book via the website for each workshop you wish to attend (If the workshop is in your school you still need to book a place via the website so we can keep accurate numbers of training and CPD records). All those applying to attend an event must agree time off from the workplace for the whole duration of the programme with their headteacher.

What if I don’t receive confirmation of my course place after making a booking?

If you have made a course booking but not received confirmation within 48 hours, it is your responsibility to contact us at LDNEnquiries@tkat.org  Not receiving a booking confirmation email will not be accepted as a valid reason for non-attendance and a charge will be levied.

Cancelling your place on a workshop.

If cancelling a place is unavoidable, delegates need to cancel the booking by emailing LDNEnquiries@tkat.org and include the title and date of the workshop at least 10 days before the workshop runs.

Considerable disruption is caused when course participants are unable to attend, and it can lead to cancellation of courses at short notice. Due to the high level of last-minute cancellations and non-attendance the following charges will be made for non-attendance.

If a course delegate, with a confirmed place at an event cancels a place within less than 10 days of the event, or does not attend on the day, a charge of £50 will be invoiced to the delegates school.

I haven’t booked a place in time.

Please do not attempt to attend a workshop that you have not booked onto. This causes severe disruption for the facilitator and administration as they will have already produced the required amounts of resources, planned the sessions and arranged the required amount of refreshments/lunches. It may also put us over the maximum capacity for fire & health and safety regulations in which case you will be turned away from the venue.

If you have missed the cut off time for booking onto a workshop, please contact us via LDNEnquiries@tkat.org We are as accommodating as possible and if we can, we will arrange for you to be allocated a place.

Not enough people booked to run a workshop

We will monitor all course bookings. If the number of delegates on a course is low, we will:

  • Decide at least 5 days before the start of the course if it is necessary to cancel due to low numbers.
  • Contact all participants via email who have booked on the course to give them as much notice as possible.
  • Suggest an alternative course (where available) or date that they can attend.

We are endeavouring to plan and run as many normal workshops as we can whilst adhering to the correct social distancing guidelines. Where is is no longer possible to run a face to face workshop, we will try to still hold it at the correct time & date but do it virtually via Google. If this is the case you will be contacted several days before the event by email with the joining details.

Policies & Protocols:

TKAT LDN Virtual Professional Learning Protocols:

Online professional learning has emerged as “an increasingly popular and viable alternative to face-to-face professional development” by enabling participants to access a wider variety of offerings than they may be able to access face to face. These protocols have been designed to ensure all participants have the best learning experience whilst attending virtual training. Click here to view protocols
