TKAT Headteachers Conference 2024

Posted on: 3rd Apr 2024

In the second half of the spring term, TKAT held a joint Headteacher conference for the leaders of all 45 of its special, primary, secondary and all through schools.

TKAT CEO Dr Karen Roberts kicked off the event and then spoke about plans to ensure there was equitable funding for all schools now and in the future.

There were also tailored sessions for different phases.

Primary Heads shared the Peer Plussing work where schools were partnered together to visit each other and provide support and improvement within a structured programme. This has been a very successful project and heads shared their experiences with each other.

Education Adviser Rob Briscoe also shared his work with a group of 8 TKAT schools where they discussed data working at a greater depth. This has been well received and heads modelled with others the work that Rob undertook.

The Secondary Heads group explored the next steps in trust-wide assessment to ensure that it provides the most useful information for students, parents, schools and the Trust.

We would like to thank our partner PGL (www.pgl.co.uk) for being the corporate supporter for the conference. It was great to have colleagues from PGL with us on the day, and it was an opportunity for Headteachers to find out more about the excellent range of educational trips that PGL runs for schools.
