Welling School is an all ability, co-educational 11-18 school, located in the London borough of Bexley. As well as serving our local community we welcome students from a diverse range of backgrounds and areas. Each of them bringing their own part to make up the Welling School Community. We are excited to appoint a new senior leader to our existing team to champion the development of our approach to truly inspiring and cutting edge teaching. You will have a keen interest in current pedagogical thinking and know how to translate this into meaningful practice that impacts on our students' learning and progress to mean they achieve outstanding outcomes - beyond expectation. You will be excited by the prospect of driving the continuous improvement of teaching and learning and leading and delivering a high impact staff development strategy so that our dedicated people have ongoing access to the very best opportunities to do a brilliant job for our students. As well as a team of lead practitioners you will work with the Trust’s central staff development team to create even more opportunity for staff and capacity for excellence.
The length of your previous experience as a leader is less important to us than your clear vision on what can be achieved for our students, your understanding of high standards and your ability to motivate and inspire. Our new colleague will have an unstinting belief that every young person, whatever their starting point or circumstances can make and sustain exceptional progress and that our purpose is to change lives.
