The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT) is a ‘not-for-profit’ company limited by guarantee and, as such, does not have shareholders. Instead, it has Members who originally formed the company and whose role is to ensure that the educational objectives, purpose and ethos of the company as defined in the company Articles of Association are upheld by the Trustees. The majority of Trusteers are appointed by the Members to ensure that the educational focus is maintained. The actions of the directors are called to account by the Members each year at the Annual General Meeting.
