Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Training
Our TKAT Designated Safeguarding Lead training programmes have been accredited by CPD UK. Both certificated workshops are designed for staff who are either new to the role or require refresher training.
New to DSL Training Programme
This one day course for school staff who are new to the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead is delivered by experienced safeguarding leads who have a wide range of experience.
The training will cover:
- Key legislation and guidance
- The role and responsibilities of a DSL
- How to respond to concerns raised by children and adults
- How to develop and maintain a strong safeguarding culture in your setting
- Safeguarding policy and procedures
This programme will develop your confidence and practice and support you in carrying out your role effectively.
DSL Refresher Training Programme
This course is for school staff who are currently or have recently been Designated Safeguarding Leads and are looking to update their training.
This one day course is delivered by experienced safeguarding leads who have a wide range of experience. The training will update your knowledge of safeguarding policy and procedures and further develop your confidence and practice to support you in carrying out your role effectively. There is the opportunity to explore topics using group discussion and activities as well as direct input from facilitators.
Please note: As these are certificated programmes, they must be renewed every 2 years.
Costs to non-TKAT schools: £120 per participant (discounts available for group bookings)
Both training sessions are 1 full day and can be delivered virtually or face to face.
