Supporting Menopause in the Workplace - Session 8 - Let’s learn about Diet, Weight Gain, Hair and Skin
One of the most infuriating symptoms of the menopause is gaining weight even for those who have never experienced this before. In this session we will look at hints and tips in eating well and how to exercise even if you are experiencing aches, pains and achy joints. We will also take a look at how the menopause can change our hair and skin, sometimes causing adult acne, itchy skin, thinning of hair, hair loss and hair growth.

In 2021, TKAT HR began working closely with Menohealth and created a unique programme of online workshops to help support colleagues through and beyond the menopause.
These online sessions, led by a Menohealth expert, are just 30 minutes long and open to all employees. You may be on the menopause journey yourself or supporting a partner/family member with their symptoms or you may well be years away from entering the menopausal stages however would like some information on what may be to come. All TKAT employees are welcome to join whatever your story is!
Each session has been arranged to take place on a Thursday at 4pm, after schools close, so you can hopefully get home or find a safe space in school to engage.
Menohealth provides practical support including hints and tips on various topics as well as ideas on exercises and movement to help bodies get through what can be a challenging time. Although handouts will be made available after each session, Sessions are not recorded. This is intentional in order to provide a safe space for attendees in order to ask questions, share experiences and to network with others if they choose to do so.
