TKAT’s Kemnal Technology College in 'First Give' competition final
Posted on: 17th Mar 2023Pupils at TKAT’s Kemnal Technology College were excited to reach the final stages of a First Give charity competition earlier this week.
Year 9 pupils pitched their chosen charities in a ‘Dragon’s Den’-like final in a bid to win prize money for their causes and gave presentations to a panel of judges. All the presenters showed real passion and enthusiasm.
Congratulations to the winners, 9BP. Their chosen charity, We Are Beams, which supports disabled children, young people and their families, received a £1,000 cheque.
Judges were also impressed with the presentation from pupils in 9NA, and a donation of £500 was made to their chosen charity Greenwich Winter Night Shelter, (GWNS) which runs a winter night shelter and year-round day centre to support people experiencing homelessness.
