TKAT launches its 3 year strategic intent framework

Posted on: 4th Oct 2022

The #oneTKATfamily was delighted to welcome to the O2 Hotel all our 45 schools with 300 school leaders and trustees for the launch of our 3 year strategic intent framework.

One headteacher said, "It was a great event about how we can make a difference, with pupils at the heart of everything we do." Another school leader said, "I am really proud to work for TKAT". And at the end of the day one attendee said, "It's been my best day ever with TKAT".

Chair of Trustees Gaenor Bagley started by encouraging attendees to be bold and ambitious. Then the Rt Hon David Laws, executive chair at the Education Policy Institute (www.epi.org.uk) delivered an engaging and fascinating keynote speech about the education policy landscape and about closing attainment gaps for disadvantaged pupils.

The next part of the conference was delivered by TKAT's senior leadership team, who talked through our strategic priorities of improving educational outcomes and supporting those most in need, with the ambition that we are recognised as a leading large Multi Academy Trust (MAT) for the attainment and progress of all our pupils. This ambition will be supported by our pillars of intent - being an employer of choice, working as an integrated Trust, and building a sustainable and viable infrastructure. That way, we will achieve more together.

TKAT CEO Dr Karen Roberts concluded the day. She said, " It's been a great event today. The initial feedback is that our Strategic Intent Framework has been received wonderfully well. David Laws was fantastic, and I don't think we could have hoped for a better speaker. We would like to thank Trustees and school leadership teams for their attendance, their engagement in the discussions, and their modelling of our culture - #oneTKATfamily achieving more together."
