Over 50 TKAT teachers and leaders attended a special SEND Conference last week, which focused on improving classroom provision for those which special educational needs.

Guest speakers included Gary Aubin, EEF Associate, who talked about using an evidence-informed approach to SEN and five strategies that benefit all pupils, but in particular, those with SEND.

Staff from TKAT's Hilltop Primary Academy, Rainham School for Girls and the Thanet Inclusion Pilot area, talked about strategies they are using in their schools.

The afternoon session was devoted to exploring the accessible features of iPads and Chromebooks and planning how these could be used to support individual pupils. 

Feedback from the event was very positive, with delegates finding the conference helpful, with information and ideas to take back to their classrooms.
