SCITT mentors and Professional mentors

 

Overview:

This core training is for TKAT SCITT mentors and Professional Mentors to learn more about the updated SCITT processes for 2025-26. This will support you in feeling knowledgeable and confident in supporting SCITT trainees this year and will include:

 

  • Navigating Mosaic

-    Using Training Plan
-    Reviewing trainee progress against SCITT course targets
-    Setting trainee development targets
-    Reviewing trainee reflections and assessing impact
-    Lesson observations
-    Wellbeing

 

  • Setting incremental targets
  • Using Approximations of Practice
  • Communications
  • Asynchronous support and training

 

This is mandatory training and will be supplemented throughout the year by asynchronous recordings. If you attended mentor training on 22/9/25 or have booked onto the face-to-face session in Sidcup on 13/10/25 you do not need to attend this session.
