TKAT’s Digital School continues to transform lives
TKAT’s innovative Digital School continues to go from strength to strength, offering a lifeline to secondary students who find mainstream education challenging for a wide range of personal and individual reasons.
Designed primarily for Year 11 students, the Digital School provides high-quality, live, online lessons led by exceptional teachers who combine expert subject knowledge with deep understanding of inclusion and belonging. The aim is simple — to re-engage students with learning, build their confidence, and help them move towards positive futures.
In 2024/25, the Digital School made a real difference to the lives of dozens of young people. Through carefully tailored support, one student increased their engagement from less than 20% in their mainstream setting to an impressive 75% attendance at Digital School. Many others found new motivation, rediscovered their love of learning, and built the skills and self-belief to move on successfully to post-16 opportunities.
The Digital School works hand in hand with students’ schools and a wide network of professionals — including SENDCos, safeguarding leads, inclusion teams, local authorities and community services — to ensure every student and family receives the support they need.
Looking ahead, the Digital Team will continue to expand its offer, providing ongoing mentoring and support as students transition to their next steps — even accompanying them to college interviews both online and in person.
