New 4G Pitch for Pupils and Community at The Mill Primary Academy
The Mill Primary Academy in Ifield, Crawley, is installing a new 4G all-weather pitch - a major investment set to transform sport for pupils and the wider community.
The new surface will allow year-round use, ensuring children can access high-quality PE lessons, after-school clubs and competitive fixtures regardless of the weather. The development also supports Crawley’s wider focus on strengthening grassroots sport and promoting healthier lifestyles across the town.
The facility will be available for community use, creating new opportunities for local clubs and groups to benefit from a modern sporting space in the heart of Ifield.
Headteacher, Sophie Gosden, said:
“This pitch will make a real difference to our children and our community. It’s an investment in health, opportunity and the future.”
Sponsor a Square
To support the project, the school has launched a “Sponsor a Square” initiative, inviting families, residents and local businesses to contribute and become part of the pitch’s legacy.
