A novel way to choose reading books at TKAT's Northdown Primary School

Excitement was in the air at TKAT's Northdown Primary School in Margate this week.

The school has introduced a new reading vending machine! The children can "buy" themselves a book as they move through their reading journey.

Reading is a key part of the Trust's primary strategy, and the aim is that children develop a lifelong love of reading and the skills needed to help them access a wider curriculum.

The new vending machine will help strengthen children's engagement with choosing new books to read and developing a love of books and stories.

The school's Headteacher, Mr Harris earned himself a book for reading all his paperwork!
