Overview:
Supervision is an accountable process which supports, assures, and develops the knowledge, skills, and values of an individual, group or team; undertaken by suitably trained professionals.
Good supervision can give staff an opportunity to reflect on their practice, explore any worries or concerns they may have about the welfare and development of all children in the setting and contribute towards highly effective practice and increased staff confidence.
This 1 ½ day course split into a half-day online session and a full-day face-to-face session will give participants the understanding and tools to be able to facilitate regular and effective group supervision, under a reciprocal arrangement between schools. This benefits colleagues who work with our most vulnerable pupils across our #oneTKATfamily, enabling them to support each other.
DSL supervisors must have the capacity and commitment to run a half termly supervision session in an allocated school in-person or virtually.
